The winter holiday period for students in higher education institutions, secondary specialized and vocational education institutions, as well as academic lyceums in Uzbekistan has been officially set. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation announced this. According to the new regulation, the winter holiday will start on December 28 and continue until January 10, 2026.
To facilitate convenient travel for students to their home regions, additional opportunities are planned to be created in cooperation with the Ministry of Transport, "Uzbekistan Railways," and "Uzbekistan Airways." Additionally, from December 18, 2025, to January 12, 2026, a 50% discount on transport tickets will be available for students.
This discount will make traveling during the holiday easier and allow many to return to their families. This decision is primarily important for students to spend their time effectively, rest well, and prepare for the new semester.
