Transport restrictions will be implemented in Tashkent for the New Year

Due to the approaching New Year holiday, transport movement will be temporarily restricted in several areas of Tashkent city. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
These restrictions are introduced to organize holiday events at a high level, ensure the safety of the population, and strengthen public order. According to the press service of the Tashkent city administration, the restrictions will be in effect from December 15, 2025, to January 15, 2026.
During this period, traffic will be stopped on the following routes around the square in front of the National Library of Uzbekistan: - The section of Zarafshan Street between the "Hyatt Regency Tashkent" hotel security checkpoint and Matbuotchilar streets; - The section of Istiklol Street between Amir Temur Shah Street and Buyuk Turon streets; - The part of Buyuk Turon Street from the intersection with Istiklol Street to the Youth Creativity Palace. Additionally, from December 17, 2025, to January 5, 2026, transport movement will also be restricted on Taras Shevchenko gastronomic-tourism street.
The affected areas are as follows: - Taras Shevchenko Street from Fidokor Street to Nukus Street; - Sayyid Baraka Street from Oybek Street to Amir Temur Shah Street. The city administration apologizes to residents for these temporary inconveniences and advises drivers to plan their routes in advance.
