In recent years, Uzbekistan's position in the international tourism sector has been significantly improving. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In particular, an increase in the flow of tourists from European countries, especially from France, can be observed. According to data provided by the National Statistics Committee, from January to October 2025, 27.5 thousand French citizens visited Uzbekistan.
This is 5.8 thousand or 27 percent more compared to the same period last year. According to experts, the active flow of French tourists is related to our country's open tourism policy, visa-free regime, and safe travel environment.
Additionally, the rich historical heritage, national culture, and hospitality also make Uzbekistan an attractive destination for French citizens. Interest in historical cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva is particularly high.
According to statistical data, the majority of tourists from France, namely 25.2 thousand people, visited for travel purposes. Also, 1.1 thousand people came on business trips, and 1 thousand visited to see their relatives.
The number of those who came for education was 76, and those who visited for commercial activities amounted to 20. These data indicate that Uzbekistan's achievements in the tourism sector are recognized internationally.
National dishes, cultural events, and historical monuments generate great interest among foreign guests. The increase in the number of French tourists shows that our country's tourism sector is developing in the right direction.
If this trend continues, Uzbekistan is expected to gain an even stronger position in the European tourism market.
