It has become even easier for the population of Uzbekistan to obtain information about the sale of medicines with or without a prescription. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
With the new service launched through the My.gov.uz portal, it is possible to find out the sales procedure of the required medicine in just a few seconds. This convenience is especially useful for those who want to have accurate information about medicines before going to the pharmacy.
Recently, due to strengthened measures against the illegal circulation of medicines, some medicines have been designated to be sold only with a prescription. At the same time, a warning was issued that pharmacies violating prescription requirements may have their licenses revoked.
This has caused misunderstandings among the public and pharmacies. The new service aims to resolve these issues.
Through the “Information about medicines sold with and without a prescription” section on the My.gov.uz portal, it is enough to enter the name of the required medicine in the search box — the system provides accurate information about the sales procedure of the medicine free of charge. It is known that the “Electronic Prescription” system is being gradually introduced in the capital and 15 other regions.
Based on a special list approved by the Ministry of Health, certain medicines are placed under special control. This online service is expected to create convenience for the population, ensure transparency in the sale of medicines, and reduce unnecessary complaints.
