
A special rapid operation was conducted in the Xo‘jaobod district of Andijan region through the cooperation of the State Security Service and the Customs Committee. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
During the operation, near the “Do‘stlik” border customs post, T.T., a citizen born in 1994 and residing in Fergana region, was stopped, and the agricultural bag next to him was inspected in the presence of witnesses.
During the inspection, when three iron-covered car spare parts inside the bag were disassembled, a total of 7 kilograms 784 grams of gold pieces hidden inside were found. According to the appraisal report provided by experts, the total value of this gold amounts to 12 billion 465 million 795 thousand soms.
As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that T.T. planned to secretly transport this gold from Tashkent city to a recipient in Kyrgyzstan, bypassing customs control.
Currently, appropriate legal measures are being taken regarding this case. The investigation is ongoing.
