Lawyer arrested for fraud in Tashkent

A lawyer was arrested in Tashkent while taking 2,000 US dollars through fraud. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This incident was uncovered during an operation organized by the State Security Service and the Department for Combating Economic Crimes. According to the investigation, the lawyer promised the suspect in a criminal case conducted in Shaykhontohur district that the preventive measure of "detention" would not be applied.

He proposed to resolve this matter through his influential acquaintances. This case is being considered under Article 168 (fraud) of the Criminal Code.

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing regarding this case. A criminal case has been initiated against the lawyer, and all necessary measures are being taken.

Officials urge citizens to choose only legal means when resolving legal issues. It is reminded that any violation of the law can lead to liability in any case.
