
According to the 2025 results of the GovTech Maturity Index (GTMI) compiled by the World Bank, Uzbekistan ranked 9th in the world. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Digital.uz also reported on this. Compared to 2020, the country climbed 71 positions in the index, increasing its score from 0.617 to 0.958.
As a result of this achievement, Uzbekistan further strengthened its position in the "High GovTech Maturity" category A. This index focuses on four main areas to assess the level of digital transformation in public administration.
These are: basic government systems, online public services, citizens' digital participation, and factors supporting GovTech development. Based on the 2025 results, Uzbekistan ranked first in Central Asia.
Additionally, it entered the world's TOP-10 countries list alongside nations such as South Korea, Australia, India, and Canada.
