Uzbekistan's economy achieved significant growth in 2025
As 2025 comes to an end, Uzbekistan's economy has recorded significant changes and achievements. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to Upl.uz, several key economic indicators were revised throughout the year, resulting in new outcomes. Below, we provide information about the five main economic events of the year.

First of all, the growth rates of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) were revised. The Center for Economic Research and Reforms announced in December that the annual GDP growth is expected to reach 7.5 percent.

This is higher than previous forecasts and is associated with an increase in export volumes, active investments, and strengthened domestic demand. Significant steps were also taken to increase the population's income.

In November, the government set clear goals to improve the living standards of the population. According to Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Qo‘chqorov, by the end of the year, the GDP per capita is expected to reach 3,700 US dollars.

Including Uzbekistan among high-income countries by 2030 has been set as a strategic goal. Important achievements were also observed in the transport sector.

Uzbekistan Airports company announced in December that it had received its 15 millionth passenger. This result reflects the success of programs aimed at modernizing regional airports and opening new routes.

Growth was also observed in the digital economy sector. At the ICT Week Uzbekistan 2025 event, it was announced that the value of the country's startup ecosystem has exceeded 1.2 billion dollars.

Strengthening Tashkent's position as Central Asia's IT hub, local technological projects attracted 340 million dollars in venture investments. Significant growth was also recorded in industry and investments.

In the first half of 2025, the volume of utilized investments increased by 29.8 trillion soums compared to the previous year. These funds were mainly directed to energy, metallurgy, and infrastructure projects, ensuring stable industrial growth.

The above results demonstrate that Uzbekistan's economy is developing steadily and conquering new milestones.
