
Official data on accidents that occurred in the production sector in Uzbekistan during 2025 have been published. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to statistics, a total of 731 production-related incidents were recorded throughout the year. As a result of these incidents, 813 workers were injured, of whom 212 lost their lives.
According to the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction, the highest number of accidents occurred in the construction sector — 198 cases. Additionally, 43 incidents were recorded in light industry, 36 in the transport sector, and 35 in agriculture.
During control measures, 2,372 violations of labor legislation were identified. Administrative fines totaling nearly 1 billion soms were imposed on officials for these violations.
Moreover, criminal cases were initiated in 196 instances. In addition, unpaid wages of 13,000 employees were recovered within the framework of restoring labor rights, with 159 billion soms allocated for this purpose.
A total of 22 billion soms in fines were imposed on 8,259 officials who committed violations. The Labor Inspection plans to launch an online question-and-answer system based on artificial intelligence to create convenience for citizens in the future.
Through this system, citizens will be provided with consultations using a database containing more than 10,000 questions and answers. Source of information: One.uz.
