
On December 23, 2025, a delegation led by Olim Abdullayev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, held a meeting with Khalid bin Muhammad Al-Battal, Deputy Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This dialogue was recognized as an important step towards developing bilateral relations. During the negotiations, it was emphasized that relations between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia have been steadily developing and have reached a new stage due to the firm political will of the heads of state.
The increase in high-level visits between the two countries indicates strengthening cooperation. The Saudi side noted that there are almost no issues related to citizens visiting the kingdom from Uzbekistan and expressed a warm attitude towards the Uzbek people.
This reflects the high level of trust and mutual understanding between the two peoples. The negotiations also covered the organization of Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages.
In particular, special attention was paid to simplifying and making the visa issuance process more transparent for Uzbek citizens. The parties emphasized the need to strengthen cooperation in this area.
Additionally, the meeting discussed improving the work of the joint commission operating between the interior ministries of the two countries. An agreement was reached on implementing joint measures aimed at protecting the rights and interests of citizens.
This dialogue is expected to further strengthen the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia and open new directions for cooperation. Source: zamin.uz
