
The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, announced the implementation of extraordinary measures to further strengthen the fight against corruption. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
He emphasized strict control over the expenditure of state budget funds, the abolition of immunity for officials, and the introduction of a new system against corruption. According to the President, a deputy head responsible for compliance and internal control will be established in all government agencies.
These leaders will report directly to the President together with representatives of the Accounts Chamber. The main purpose of this mechanism is to identify theft, abuse of official powers, and dishonest employees.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev specifically stressed the introduction of personal responsibility for every som of state funds. He stated that no position or title guarantees immunity, and all agencies will be under control.
According to the President, any person who obstructs the activities of compliance services will be considered involved in corruption. The implementation of these measures will be monitored by the compliance service under the Presidential Administration.
This service will immediately report all cases of bribery to the head of state, regardless of the individual's position or previous service. Source: one.uz.
