According to the plans, the number of new scientific developments and the income derived from them are expected to triple. Additionally, the share of young researchers in science is planned to reach 60 percent.
The integration between science and industry will be deepened, and the scope of international cooperation will also be expanded. The document places special emphasis on supporting research and innovative initiatives of strategic importance.
Furthermore, the issue of establishing stable financial support for young scientists is also envisaged. These measures are expected to help return Uzbek scientists from abroad and involve them in the development of national science.
In addition, there are plans to expand the infrastructure of the Academy of Sciences. The Advanced Technology Center and the International Molecular Allergology Center will be incorporated into the academy system.
Regional branches of the academy will be established in the cities of Namangan, Samarkand, and Termez. Moreover, the regional office of the International Council for Science in Central Asia is planned to be opened.
The National Archaeology Center will be transformed into the Institute of Anthropology. It is worth noting that earlier there were reports about the opening of a new scientific institute for theoretical physicists in Tashkent city.
