
On December 29, 2023, Uzbekistan delivered 390 tons of humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced this. The aid shipment included medicines as well as food products.
The handover ceremony took place in the city of Hairatan, Afghanistan. The event was attended by Balkh province leader Muhammad Yusuf Wafa, who expressed deep gratitude to Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the continuous support provided to the Afghan people.
Additionally, Wafa emphasized that as a result of the development of cooperation with Uzbekistan in recent years, Afghanistan's product exports have increased and the socio-economic conditions of the population have improved. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this year Uzbekistan sent humanitarian aid to neighboring Afghanistan for the fourth time.
Such actions serve to strengthen the friendship and neighborly relations between the two countries.
