
As of 17:00 on January 1, 2026, a total of 1094 babies were born in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The press service of the Ministry of Health announced this information. Among the newborns, 539 were boys and 555 were girls.
By region, the highest number of births was recorded in Fergana region, where 138 babies were born. Additionally, 135 babies were born in Surxondaryo region, 125 in Samarkand, 121 in Kashkadarya, and 110 in Namangan.
The lowest number of births was in Sirdaryo region, with only 19 babies born. Among the births, an interesting case was the registration of 17 sets of twins, totaling 37 babies.
Among them, 30 were twins, 3 were triplets, and 4 were quadruplets. This data allows monitoring birth rates and regional differences in the country.
