Uzbekistan's external debt reached 75.4 billion dollars

As of October 1, 2025, Uzbekistan's total external debt amounted to 75.4 billion US dollars. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Of this debt, 37.4 billion dollars belong to the government, while the remaining 38.0 billion dollars are recorded as corporate debt. Over the past year, the external debt increased by 15.2 billion dollars, with 3.2 billion dollars added in the third quarter alone.
At the same time, despite a decrease in the deficit in the balance of external operations, it still remains negative. This situation is causing certain pressure on economic activity and international financial obligations.
Experts emphasize the necessity to strengthen measures to control the amount of debt and reduce the deficit. Source: zamin.uz
