Oil leakage controlled in Boysun district

At the "M-25" field located in Boysun district of Surxondaryo region, oil-containing liquid leakage to the surface was observed at the end of 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Upon detection of this situation, the responsible organizations immediately began taking necessary measures. On January 5, 2026, the Ministry of Energy issued an official statement announcing that special protective pools had been established to prevent the widespread dispersion of the oil liquid.
These pools are placed around the field and along the stream path, serving to keep the oil liquid under control. According to the Ministry, the collected oil liquid is continuously transported to a specially designated area.
There, there are two fully isolated sludge pools, each with a capacity of 5,000 cubic meters. These facilities allow for the safe storage of the oil liquid and its subsequent processing.
It is emphasized that all work is being carried out based on industrial safety and environmental requirements. Samples taken from the oil liquid have been sent for laboratory analysis.
Based on the analysis results, the possibilities for processing the liquid will be assessed. At the same time, geological studies are ongoing.
Currently, the area is under constant monitoring. The spread of the oil liquid has been controlled, and the cleaning of the liquid that initially flowed into the canal is being carried out gradually.
Experts emphasize that the situation is fully under control. Source: One.uz
