Fines will be imposed for swimming in prohibited areas

It is planned to introduce fines for swimming in prohibited areas in Uzbekistan. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This was reported by Podrobno.uz. These measures are being considered within the framework of a draft law aimed at ensuring safety in water bodies and reducing the number of accidents.
According to the draft, the Administrative Liability Code will be supplemented with a new Article 204-2. This article covers violations of safety rules at water bodies, including swimming in areas where prohibitory signs are installed.
If a citizen violates the rule for the first time, they may be fined 1 base calculation amount (currently 412 thousand soums). If the violation is repeated, the fine amount increases up to 3 base calculation amounts (1 million 236 thousand soums).
For officials responsible for safety at water bodies, the fine amount may reach up to 5 base calculation amounts (2 million 60 thousand soums). The draft law is being developed due to the increasing number of accidents in water bodies.
According to experts, the increase in such incidents is related to insufficient state control and weak mechanisms of responsibility. These new measures are expected to strengthen state control and increase the personal responsibility of vacationers in dangerous areas.
It should be recalled that earlier there was a report about a teenager who drowned while trying to retrieve a ball in the Chirchiq River. To prevent such incidents, it is important to comply with legal procedures and safety rules.
