The number of foreign students in Uzbekistan increased by 54 percent
In January-November 2025, the number of foreign nationals studying in Uzbekistan reached 37.2 thousand. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the National Statistics Committee, this figure increased by 54.3 percent compared to the same period last year. This was reported by "Kursiv.uz".

Among foreign students, Indian citizens are leading. The number of students from this country amounted to 16.3 thousand.

Next in line are citizens of Turkmenistan (8.9 thousand) and Tajikistan (2.7 thousand). Additionally, citizens of Pakistan (1.7 thousand) and China (1.4 thousand) are also among the countries actively coming to study in Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, citizens from South Korea (870), Kyrgyzstan (823), Egypt (737), the Philippines (501), and the USA (464) are also listed among the countries with many students coming to Uzbekistan for education. Among European countries, the United Kingdom (179), Russia (164), and Italy (94) are specifically mentioned as the countries sending the most students.

Countries such as Turkey, Afghanistan, Jordan, South Africa, Iran, Kazakhstan, and Bangladesh are also included in the top-20 list.
