The flow of Chinese tourists in Uzbekistan has significantly increased

On the eve of the New Year holidays, the number of Chinese tourists visiting Uzbekistan has increased significantly. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to experts, the introduction of a visa-free regime for Chinese citizens at the beginning of this year was an important impetus for this growth. This development serves to further enhance tourism relations between Uzbekistan and China.
Based on information provided by the Tourism Committee to the Xinhua news agency, the number of flight bookings from China to Uzbekistan from January 1 to 3 doubled compared to the same period last year. This positive change resulted from the visa-free travel opportunity, which simplified the travel process and reduced bureaucratic obstacles for tourists.
Additionally, the recent promotion of Uzbekistan's rich cultural heritage and tourism potential within the framework of the "Uzbekistan – Year of Tourism" campaign concluded in China has increased interest in Uzbekistan among Chinese tourists. Moreover, the increase in the number of direct flights connecting major cities of the two countries has also created additional convenience for travelers.
Chinese visitors mainly show great interest in traditional tourist routes that include historical cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva. This indicates that Uzbekistan's position in the international tourism market is steadily strengthening.
