Growth in the insurance market: volume 10.9 trillion soums

According to data from the National Statistics Committee, the volume of insurance services in Uzbekistan amounted to 10.9 trillion soms in January–November 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This figure increased by 2.9 trillion soms compared to the same period in 2024. This growth indicates the development of the insurance market.
According to the report, the largest share in the insurance market corresponds to sectors related to risks frequently encountered in the daily lives of the population and businesses. In particular, accident insurance, motor vehicle insurance, cargo and property insurance accounted for 81.7 percent of the total volume of insurance services.
This reflects the high demand of the population for these sectors. Additionally, reinsurance services made up 14.1 percent of the total volume.
Life insurance, on the other hand, showed a relatively low figure, accounting for only 4.2 percent of the total volume of insurance services. These data indicate that some sectors are leading in the insurance market while others are still in the development stage (source: National Statistics Committee).
