Train ticket prices will increase from 2026

Passenger transportation services by railway in Uzbekistan will become more expensive. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the Joint Stock Company "Uzbekistan Railways," from February 1, 2026, ticket prices for certain trains, including the high-speed "Afrosiyob" electric trains, will increase by 15 percent. This decision is related to the rise in maintenance costs, the increase in spare parts prices, as well as the growth in electricity and operational expenses.
Additionally, the need to ensure train movement safety, maintain service quality at international standards, and regularly update infrastructure also contributed to this change. According to the updated tariffs, ticket prices for the "Afrosiyob" trains on the following routes are set as follows: for the Tashkent — Bukhara route, VIP class costs 1,138,000 soums, business class 760,000 soums, and economy class 509,000 soums.
On the Tashkent — Qarshi route, VIP class ticket price is 976,000 soums, business class 642,000 soums, and economy class 429,000 soums. For the Tashkent — Samarkand route, prices are 709,000 soums for VIP class, 455,000 soums for business class, and 311,000 soums for economy class.
Furthermore, ticket prices for the "Sharq," "Nasaf," and "Uzbekistan" passenger trains have also been increased by 15 percent. This information is based on the official statement from the Joint Stock Company "Uzbekistan Railways."
