From February 1, train ticket prices will increase by 15 percent

The "Uzbekistan Railways" joint-stock company announced that from February 1, the prices of passenger train tickets on domestic routes will increase. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to the official statement, ticket prices for high-speed "Afrosiyob" trains, as well as for passenger trains "Sharq," "Nasaf," and "Uzbekistan," will increase by 15 percent. The company explained that the price increase is due to several reasons.
Among them are the rising costs of technical maintenance and spare parts for high-speed trains, increased electricity and operational expenses. Additionally, the need to ensure travel safety, maintain service quality at international standards, and modernize infrastructure were cited as reasons.
The updated ticket prices for "Afrosiyob" trains are set as follows: on the Tashkent–Bukhara route, VIP class tickets cost 1,138,000 soums, business class 760,000 soums, and economy class 509,000 soums. On the Tashkent–Qarshi route, VIP class tickets are sold at 976,000 soums, business class 642,000 soums, and economy class 429,000 soums.
On the Tashkent–Samarkand route, VIP class tickets are priced at 709,000 soums, business class 455,000 soums, and economy class 311,000 soums. The price update aims to maintain the quality of services provided to passengers, ensure stable operation of train infrastructure, and enhance safety standards.
Therefore, passengers planning to travel from February 1 are advised to consider purchasing tickets in advance. Source: zamin.uz.
