Uzbekistan's GDP grew by 7.7 percent in 2025

According to the results of 2025, Uzbekistan's economy grew by 7.7 percent and the gross domestic product (GDP) reached 1.85 quadrillion soums at current prices. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This indicator represents a significant increase compared to 2024. According to the data from the Statistics Agency, the real GDP growth was 7.7 percent.
This economic growth was mainly ensured by the positive dynamics of key sectors. During the reporting period, the services sector accounted for 48.6 percent of GDP, with its share increasing by 0.4 percent compared to the previous year.
The share of industry reached 26.8 percent, while construction accounted for 7.3 percent. The share of agriculture, forestry, and fisheries decreased to 17.3 percent.
Growth in industry was primarily driven by the manufacturing sector, where the added value increased by 7.7 percent. The volume of work performed in the construction sector grew by 14 percent.
Specifically, the construction of buildings and structures increased by 7.4 percent, civil facilities construction by 30.8 percent, and specialized construction works by 38.4 percent. The services sector recorded an 8.5 percent growth.
The fastest growing areas were information and communication services (23.9 percent), trade (13.6 percent), and accommodation and food services (10.4 percent). In the trade sector, the main share was retail trade excluding motor vehicles, accounting for 54.7 percent.
The share of the transportation and storage sector in GDP was 5.5 percent, with road transport leading in this area. The share of road transport was 56.4 percent, followed by pipeline transport (10.1 percent) and railways (7.3 percent).
In 2025, GDP per capita amounted to 48.8 million soums, representing a 5.7 percent real growth compared to 2024. The share of information and communication technology (ICT) services in the economy was 2.7 percent.
Within this sector, communication services, computer programming, and related services were leading. Small business entities created a gross added value of 923.5 trillion soums, accounting for 52.2 percent of the total economy.
The contribution of small businesses was significant in agriculture, services, industry, and construction sectors. At the same time, the informal economy accounted for 26.9 percent of GDP, with households and the hidden sector having a high share in this indicator.
