Over 63 thousand individuals were convicted in 2025

According to the Supreme Court data, a large volume of criminal cases was reviewed in the courts of Uzbekistan in 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
According to statistics, courts considered cases involving 79,554 individuals across 63,177 criminal cases. By the end of the year, a total of 63,340 people were convicted.
Among them, 18,816 were sentenced to imprisonment, while other types of penalties were applied to 43,531 individuals. Additionally, 993 people were sentenced under conditional punishment.
The majority of those convicted were men, numbering 55,829. Women accounted for 7,511 individuals.
There were also many convicted young people, with 23,973 young offenders recorded. Among them, 2,431 were minors.
At the same time, the number of convicted persons over 60 years old was 2,830. Another notable indicator is that 422 individuals were fully acquitted and rehabilitated.
As a result of the application of reconciliation institutions, 13,224 people were exempted from criminal liability. The highest number of criminal trials were held in Tashkent city, Fergana, Tashkent, Samarkand, and Namangan regions.
