The number of foreign students studying in Uzbekistan has increased
According to preliminary data announced by the National Statistics Committee, a total of 39,700 foreign students came to Uzbekistan for education purposes during 2025. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This figure is 58.2 percent higher compared to the same period last year. This growth indicates increasing interest among foreigners in studying in Uzbekistan.

According to statistical data, the largest number of foreign students came from India, totaling 17,241. Citizens of Turkmenistan rank second, accounting for 9,349 individuals.

Next are students from Tajikistan, numbering 2,904. Additionally, citizens from Pakistan (1,779), China (1,428), South Korea (917), Kyrgyzstan (912), Egypt (893), the Philippines (745), and the USA (482) have also chosen to study in Uzbekistan.

The remaining 3,011 students came from other countries. These data confirm the growing interest among foreign students in Uzbekistan's higher education institutions.
