Only electronic payment for fuel from 2026

Starting from April 1, 2026, cash payments for gasoline and methane in Uzbekistan are planned to be completely abolished. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
From now on, payments for vehicle fuel, electric vehicle charging, as well as for electricity, gas, and water services will only be made through bank cards or electronic payment systems. Cash payments will be prohibited.
The main goal of this change is to introduce a convenient and modern payment system for citizens. At the same time, it aims to make financial transactions transparent and secure.
This innovation aligns with international experience and serves to accelerate the digitalization of the economy. Currently, the relevant services and vehicle fuel filling stations (AYOQSH) are carrying out the necessary preparations to transition to the new system.
With the implementation of these measures, payment processes are expected to become faster and more convenient. Information was obtained from the one.uz website.
