Person who committed violence against a minor sentenced to 10 years imprisonment
The court verdict has been announced in the criminal case that occurred in Andijan region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to the information, a 39-year-old man unlawfully entered his neighbor's house, committed violence against a minor child, and forcibly took 7 chicks from the household yard. This crime took place on May 3, 2025, at 13:30 in Baliqchi district of Andijan region.

Documents state that the accused physically assaulted the homeowner's minor son, beating and strangling him, causing serious bodily harm. After that, he stole the chicks from the cage in the yard and fled the scene.

It has been revealed that this individual had previously been convicted 7 times for various crimes and had served his sentences. According to the verdict issued by the Oltinko‘l district court on November 11, 2025, the accused was found guilty under Article 164, Part 3, Clauses “a, v, g” of the Criminal Code.

He was sentenced to 10 years and 2 months of imprisonment. Additionally, the accused was classified as an “extremely dangerous recidivist” and was ordered to serve the sentence in a special regime colony.

During the trial, the accused admitted his guilt but expressed disagreement with the classification as an “extremely dangerous recidivist” and filed an appeal. On January 28, 2026, the case was reviewed again at the Andijan regional court.

The appellate instance found that the initial court had incorrectly applied Clause “a” of Part 3 of Article 164, since the accused had not previously been convicted under this article or a similar crime.

Therefore, the “recidivism” designation was removed. Nevertheless, the court found the type and duration of the sentence to be fair.

The verdict remained unchanged, and the sentence of 10 years and 2 months imprisonment was upheld. The appeal was partially satisfied.
