The document is titled “Additional measures to accelerate the socio-economic development of Jizzakh region in 2026–2027.” It outlines the development directions, specific plans, and economic indicators for the region over the next two years.
According to the decision, ensuring sustainable economic growth in Jizzakh region has been set as the main goal. It is planned to increase the gross regional product by an average of 8.5% annually, industrial production by 7.8%, market services by 13.2%, and agricultural products by 4.6%.
These indicators aim to bring the region's economy to a new level. The plan also includes significantly reducing unemployment and poverty rates.
For example, by 2026, unemployment is targeted to be reduced to 3%, and poverty to 2.8%. The task has been set to transform Jizzakh city and its districts, including Sharof Rashidov, Baxmal, G‘allaorol, Do‘stlik, Zomin, and Zafarobod districts, into areas free from unemployment and poverty.
In agriculture, renewal projects will be implemented. In 57 neighborhoods of Baxmal, G‘allaorol, Zomin, and Forish districts, 5,000 hectares of old orchards and vineyards will be renovated.
These measures will help increase rural residents' incomes, create new jobs, and expand export volumes. Additionally, special centers will be established to develop entrepreneurship.
Five entrepreneurship centers covering 40 neighborhoods are planned to be opened in Sharof Rashidov, Do‘stlik, G‘allaorol, Arnasoy, and Zafarobod districts. One of the most important projects is related to the construction of a new city.
On a 40-hectare land area in Jizzakh city and Sharof Rashidov district, the New Jizzakh city will be established. It is planned to build 50 multi-storey buildings with 1,200 apartments.
This project will stimulate the development of infrastructure, new jobs, and the services market. In conclusion, this decision is of great importance for Jizzakh region.
If the plans outlined are implemented, new opportunities will be created for the region's population. Most importantly, the figures will not remain on paper but will bring significant changes in people's lives.
