Uzbekistan chose the C-390 Millennium aircraft

On February 3, 2023, at the airshow held in Singapore, Embraer officially announced that Uzbekistan has selected the C-390 Millennium military transport aircraft. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This decision marked an important step towards modernizing the country's air transport sector and taking it to a new level. This aircraft not only expands cargo transportation capabilities but is also designed to operate effectively in challenging conditions.
Uzbekistan plans to primarily use the C-390 Millennium aircraft for transport and humanitarian missions. At the same time, as the first country in Central Asia to operate this type of aircraft, Uzbekistan is playing a pioneering role in the region's aviation sector.
According to Bosko da Koshta Junior, head of Embraer Defense & Security, this decision will significantly increase the speed of logistics and operations. The C-390 Millennium aircraft is developed based on the requirements of the 21st century and is considered one of the most modern military transport vehicles in its class.
It has the capacity to carry up to 26 tons of cargo, fly at approximately 470 knots, and cover long distances. The aircraft's multifunctional application capabilities are also noteworthy: cargo and troop transport, airborne operations, medical evacuation, search and rescue missions, firefighting, and humanitarian missions.
Additionally, the aircraft can successfully operate on temporary or unpaved runways. The variant equipped with KC-390 equipment also performs aerial refueling functions.
Its full compatibility with NATO systems makes it even more suitable for modern military and emergency operations. This aircraft has attracted interest not only from Uzbekistan but also from countries such as Brazil, Portugal, Hungary, South Korea, and the Netherlands.
In conclusion, Uzbekistan is elevating its transport aviation to a new level. With this platform, the efficiency of the country's logistics and humanitarian missions is expected to increase significantly.
This will play an important role in the development of regional aviation.
