A fine has been imposed for violating safety rules in transportation

New administrative liability measures have been established for violating safety rules in metro and railway transport. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
These changes are being implemented based on additions and amendments made to legislative acts adopted on February 5, 2023. According to the law, violations of railway transport and metro movement safety as well as passenger transportation rules will lead to administrative liability.
In particular, officials and transport employees committing such violations will be fined an amount equal to 10 times the base calculation amount. Additionally, concealing information about incidents or situations related to railway and metro safety will also result in the same fine for officials.
Liability measures have also been strengthened in automobile transport. For example, carrying passengers without proper documents, unjustified fare increases, failure to comply with the schedule, or deviation from the approved route will be fined an amount equal to 3 times the base calculation amount.
This law will come into force three months after its official publication. These changes serve to ensure safety in transport and prevent violations.
