Ramadan 2026 is expected to begin on February 19
In Uzbekistan, the Ramadan month of 2026 is expected to begin on Thursday, February 19. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

This was discussed at a meeting on fatwa direction under the Organization of Turkic States and recognized as a general consensus. Since the start time of Ramadan depends on the sighting of the moon, these dates are not yet exact.

The official announcement is usually made as Ramadan approaches. Therefore, it is recommended to consider this information as a preliminary roadmap.

According to the Ramadan 2026 schedule, the twelve-month month of worship will begin on February 19, and Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on Friday, March 20. Depending on the moon sighting, Ramadan may last 29 or 30 days.

Regarding suhoor and iftar times, for the initial days, the following times are estimated for Tashkent city: suhoor time is before dawn, and iftar is at sunset. These times may vary slightly depending on the region, so it is important to follow the official calendar.

Intention prayer for suhoor: «Navaytu an asuuma sovma shahri ramazona minal-fajri ilal-mag‘ribi, xolisan lillahi ta’aalaa. Alloh-u akbar».

Meaning: I intend to fast in the month of Ramadan from dawn until sunset sincerely for Allah the Exalted. I seek Allah’s greatness.

Iftar prayer: «Allohumma laka sumtu va bika aamantu va ’alayka tavakkaltu va ’alaa rizqika aftortu, fag‘firlii yaa G‘offaru maa qoddamtu va maa axxortu, birohmatika yaa arhamar-Rohimiyn».

Meaning: O Allah, I fasted for You, I believed in You, I relied on You, and with Your provision I break my fast.

O Forgiving One, forgive my past and future sins. Ramadan is not only about enduring hunger and thirst but also a month to organize one’s lifestyle.

Planning ahead and adjusting your daily routine, such as setting a proper sleep schedule and allocating work and other tasks to post-dawn hours, will help you succeed during this month. The best approach is to determine the times suitable for your area after the official calendar is released.

This way, you can avoid any inconveniences.
