President visited the new enterprise in Ohangaron
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Premier household appliances manufacturing enterprise in Ohangaron district, Tashkent region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

During the visit, the head of state closely familiarized himself with the enterprise's activities, ongoing work, and production processes. It was emphasized that as a result of measures taken in recent years to develop the electrical engineering industry, foreign investments have been attracted to the sector, and modern technologies are being widely introduced.

At the same time, it was noted that the use of local raw materials, the volume of import-substituting and export-oriented products is increasing. This project in Ohangaron is being implemented in cooperation with Fajr Al Mustaqbal General Trading company.

The total value of the project amounts to 30 million dollars, with construction works being carried out on an area of 10 hectares. So far, investments of 11.3 million dollars have been utilized, and construction works are 95 percent complete.

Once the new enterprise is fully operational, it is planned to create 250 jobs and export products worth 4 million dollars. The enterprise's products are intended to be supplied not only to the domestic market but also to markets in countries such as Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Afghanistan.

Through this, the "Made in Uzbekistan" label is expected to be further strengthened in international markets. As a result of the project operating at full capacity, it is planned to produce import-substituting products worth 87 million dollars.

This will contribute to currency savings and improve the competitive environment in the domestic market. During the visit, the President closely acquainted himself with the enterprise's development plan, work processes, and product quality, and communicated with specialists and workers.

Additionally, an exhibition related to the activities of other enterprises producing electrical engineering products was also presented. This project is not just a simple production complex but serves as an important step towards reducing import dependence in our country, increasing export volumes, and securing a strong position with quality products in neighboring countries' markets.
