The number of artisans in the country has exceeded 22 thousand
According to the data from the National Statistics Committee, as of January 1, 2026, the number of active artisans in the country amounted to 22,117. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

Analyzing by regions, the highest number of artisans was recorded in Tashkent city, reaching 2,906. Following are Fergana region (2,564), Samarkand region (2,090), Andijan region (2,088), and Namangan region (1,990).

In Khorezm region, 1,977 artisans were identified as active. In Tashkent region, this figure is 1,791.

Additionally, in Kashkadarya region, 1,496 artisans, in Bukhara region 1,474, and in Jizzakh region 1,033 artisans were registered. In the Republic of Karakalpakstan, there are 951 artisans, in Surkhandarya region 845, in Syrdarya region 465, and in Navoi region 447 artisans.

These data reflect the level of development of craftsmanship across regions. These figures are important for analyzing regional economic activity.
