Causes of air quality deterioration in Tashkent identified

O‘zgidromet has provided information about the causes of air quality deterioration in Tashkent city, reports uznews.uz. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
On March 1, Tashkent ranked high in the global air pollution rating. Experts associate this with the cold air flow entering the region and the temperature difference at various times of the day.
At night, the temperature was +3...+5 degrees, while during the day it was +11...+15 degrees, which caused this situation. Such meteorological conditions slow down air exchange in the layers close to the earth's surface and hinder the dispersion of air pollutants.
As a result, the concentration of fine particles in the atmosphere, namely PM2.5 and PM10, increases. Meteorologists predict an improvement in air quality tomorrow due to expected precipitation.
Precipitation helps reduce air pollution.
