Chilonzor captain who stopped drug smugglers was awarded the rank of major

In the Chilonzor district of Tashkent city, preventive inspector Captain Laziz Abdukarimov, who effectively stopped the illegal activities of drug couriers, was awarded the rank of major ahead of schedule for his bravery and heroism in service. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This information was conveyed to the public by the Department of Public Safety. The incident occurred during rapid preventive measures organized within the framework of the "Safe and Healthy Country" month.
On March 13, preventive inspector Laziz Abdukarimov, covering the Khirmontepa neighborhood, stopped two individuals suspiciously moving on the street. The suspects did not comply with the officer's lawful demands and tried to escape to protect themselves.
However, the inspector, aware of his duty, chased and timely apprehended one of them. Subsequent investigation revealed that a bag carried by the suspect contained a total of 295 pregabalin pills packed in seven packets.
During the rapid investigation, it was found that the apprehended individual had hidden drugs in several locations in the area and marked them via geolocation. Additionally, the suspect's accomplice was also detained in the Shaykhontohur district, where 35 powerful capsules prepared for distribution were found.
Considering Captain Laziz Abdukarimov's bravery, determination, and prudent actions in a dangerous situation, he was awarded the rank of major ahead of schedule by a special order of the Minister of Internal Affairs. This event demonstrates the effectiveness of efforts aimed at increasing the responsibility of law enforcement officers among our people and ensuring safety in society.
