An internal control system against corruption will be implemented in government bodies

A model regulation project aimed at improving the internal control system against corruption has been developed to prevent corruption cases in state bodies and organizations, ensure transparency, and eliminate conflicts of interest. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This document serves to strengthen the principles of integrity and justice in public administration. According to this model regulation, the procedure for organizing the activities of internal control units against corruption in state bodies and institutions, as well as in business entities where the state share in the charter capital is 50 percent or more, is clearly defined.
This creates an opportunity to form a unified approach across all systems. The document states that internal control units are responsible for early detection and prevention of corruption cases, as well as eliminating the causes and conditions that give rise to such cases.
Reducing corruption factors in the process of providing public services is also one of the main tasks of these units. In addition, internal control structures regularly monitor public procurement processes, timely identify conflicts of interest, and take measures to eliminate them.
Assessing existing corruption risks in the activities of agencies and developing specific measures to reduce them is also considered important. The regulation project details the qualification requirements for employees of internal control units, their rights and responsibilities, as well as the procedures for appointment and dismissal.
This is of great importance for improving the quality of personnel and ensuring the effectiveness of the system. Furthermore, it is planned to enhance the effectiveness of internal control mechanisms by introducing a systematic approach based on international standards in the fight against corruption, particularly the requirements of ISO 37001.
This serves to adapt the national system to international requirements. The adoption of the regulation will help strengthen openness, transparency, and accountability in the public administration system, significantly increasing the effectiveness of the fight against corruption.
At the same time, it will lay a solid foundation for creating a clean and reliable governance environment in the future.
