Tour operators will receive subsidies and foreign bloggers will be given free tour packages

A number of important announcements were made for local tour operators at the meeting. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In particular, starting from April 1, tour operators will be allocated subsidies of up to $5,000 from the state budget for every 1,000 foreign tourists for three months. Additionally, half of the value-added tax will be returned as cashback.
Fifty foreign bloggers with more than 5 million followers on social networks will be given a free seven-day tour package to Uzbekistan. This aims to promote our country and develop the tourism sector.
Expenses related to promoting travel to Uzbekistan on the world's largest online travel platforms will also be covered. These measures serve to increase competitiveness in the tourism sector.
This year, the importance of hosting tours by at least five world-famous artists, as well as ten business forums and fashion festivals in Samarkand, was emphasized. These events will help further enliven the city's cultural and economic life.
At the same time, it was noted that all opportunities exist to turn Samarkand into a scientific center that holds olympiads, forums, and scientific conferences in exact and natural sciences. For example, at the International Astronautics Congress to be held in Samarkand in 2028, nearly 10,000 people from over 100 countries have already expressed their intention to participate.
Special programs in cooperation with international organizations in this field were assigned to specialists to develop. In this way, it is planned to attract 6 million tourists to Samarkand by the end of the year.
This figure indicates the rapid development of the tourism sector in our country.
