The Imam Bukhari collection has been presented to the public in a new guise.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Imam al-Bukhari Complex located in the Samarkand region on March 19. Zamin.uz reported this.
This sacred site has been presented to the people in a completely new appearance as a result of extensive reconstruction work carried out over the past years. The construction process began in 2018, and the many years of labor by architects and masters who worked for a long time did not go to waste.
The official opening ceremony of the complex is scheduled to be held next year, in March 2026, on the eve of Eid al-Fitr. The choice of this date is not accidental, as it further enhances the spiritual significance of this site and strengthens the sanctity inherent for pilgrims.
The renovated complex has been developed not only as a pilgrimage site but also as a center of science and enlightenment. Its composition includes a mausoleum meeting modern requirements, research institutes, and a library with a rich collection of manuscripts.
In addition, infrastructure providing all necessary amenities for guests has been established. According to experts, this major project will become an attractive site not only for citizens of Uzbekistan but also for foreign guests coming from all corners of the world.
This will further enhance Samarkand's reputation as an international tourism center and help introduce our country's cultural wealth to the world. In conclusion, the Imam al-Bukhari Complex has now risen to a new stage not merely as a historical monument, but as a modern center harmoniously combining science, enlightenment, and pilgrimage.
These major reforms express our people's respect for their own history and will serve as a bright example for future generations.
