Samarkand Registan has been included in the list of the world's most beautiful places.

The renowned international publication Time Out, which covers destinations worldwide, has announced its list of the most beautiful places for 2026, featuring Registan Square in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Zamin.uz reported on this news.
This international organization specifically recognized the unique architectural ensemble of the historic square, highlighting the remarkable harmony of its madrasas built in the 15th and 17th centuries along with their exquisitely decorated domes. The newly compiled ranking includes 51 destinations from various corners of the globe, formed based on the opinions and personal travel experiences of experts and seasoned travelers.
The list encompasses diverse locations featuring natural landscapes, ancient cities, and notable architectural monuments. The top three spots in this year's ranking were taken by the Picos de Europa mountains in Spain, Komodo National Park in Indonesia, and the Morgan Library & Museum in New York City.
At the same time, several new destinations were added to the updated list for the first time, including the historic center of Bologna in Italy and Capo Testa peninsula on the island of Sardinia. Registan Square is one of Uzbekistan's most famous cultural symbols and remains a primary attraction for visitors to Samarkand.
Its inclusion in the international ranking is a clear sign of growing global interest in the country's rich historical heritage and architectural masterpieces. This situation signifies that our ancient city is becoming increasingly famous worldwide and that the uniqueness of Uzbek culture is being highly appreciated.
