Amir Temur Avenue will be temporarily closed starting in March.

Significant changes are being implemented as part of landscaping and reconstruction works in the Yunusobod district of Tashkent. Zamin.uz reported on this.
According to information provided by the city administration, starting from March 23, 2026, until April 7, the famous Amir Temur Avenue will be temporarily closed along its entire perimeter. These restrictions primarily apply to the avenue area located at the intersection of Maxtumquli, Istiqbol, and Sayilgoh streets with Amir Temur and Mustaqillik avenues.
During the reconstruction process, it is planned to repair pedestrian walkways and lay new paving in necessary areas. At the same time, engineering communications and irrigation systems will be adapted to modern standards.
Extensive landscaping works will be carried out with the aim of making the area even more beautiful and green. During the works, no damage will be done to existing trees in the area; on the contrary, the number of green masses will be increased by planting new saplings.
Vehicle traffic and the ability to park cars along the road will remain as usual, which will not complicate residents' use of transport. However, exit routes from metro stations leading to the avenue area will be temporarily closed within the specified period.
This measure is aimed at further enriching the historical and cultural objects of the city center and creating a more comfortable leisure environment for residents and guests. If the works are completed ahead of schedule, the avenue will be returned to its previous state.
