In Uzbekistan, a motor vehicle license is issued for a period of five years

In Uzbekistan, the certificate for the official registration of motor vehicles is now issued with a validity period of five years. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
This is stipulated in the government resolution adopted on March 30. Under the previous procedure, only the issue date was indicated in the technical passports, but the validity period was not specified.
According to the new resolution, the validity period of the certificate is clearly defined and amounts to five years. After the certificate expires, there is currently no clear information about the renewal fee.
Whether a new fee will be set or the current fee will continue to apply has not yet been resolved. Starting from 2024, the registration and re-registration fee for all motor vehicles, except electric cars, motorcycles, and trailers, will be equal to 6.84 times the base calculation amount.
Previously, this indicator was around 0.1 times. The new regulations provide clarity, convenience, and a modern validity period for car owners.
These changes simplify the registration process and create convenience for citizens. Also, car owners will have the opportunity to renew their documents on time.
Overall, the new rules serve to improve order in the field of vehicle management.
