Admission to the first grade in Uzbekistan's schools will be conducted entirely in digital format
In Uzbekistan, the admission process for the first grade of general secondary schools for the 2026-2027 academic year will be organized in a fully digital format. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The Ministry of Preschool and School Education provided official information regarding this. According to the new procedure, the admission process will be carried out in two stages.
In the first stage, from June 20 to July 31, parents can submit online applications for their children to schools within their micro-district. The second stage will last from August 1 to August 31, during which the electronic admission system will open for citizens residing outside the micro-district.
This year, the coverage of this system has been significantly expanded. Specifically, the number of districts and cities where the online admission system is implemented has been increased from 64 to 135.
Additionally, the number of general education schools connected to the digital platform has been increased from 1,956 to 5,689. Applications are accepted through the Single Interactive State Services Portal and the special my.maktab.uz platform.
For the new academic year, the age of children admitted to the first grade is determined in the traditional manner, covering children born on or before December 31, 2019, i.e., those turning seven years old. In regions where the online system has not yet been fully implemented, the admission process will be carried out in the traditional way, i.e., directly by the schools.
To ensure the transparency of the process, all information will be publicly posted at the schools. Furthermore, as per tradition, Presidential gifts consisting of twelve types of school supplies intended for first-grade students will be delivered to all educational institutions by August 20 of this year.
Parents are requested to adhere to the established deadlines when enrolling their children in school and to make effective use of the system's capabilities.
