Transport subsidies to be allocated to meat importing entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan

Important innovations are being introduced in Uzbekistan to ensure the continuous supply of essential food products to the population and to maintain price stability in the domestic market. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
In particular, it has been determined that additional benefits and subsidies will be allocated by the state for business entities engaged in the import of meat and meat products. These measures are being implemented based on a relevant decree adopted by our President on April 7 of this year.
In accordance with the decree, from April 1 to August 1 of this year, a portion of the transport costs of entrepreneurs importing beef and mutton into our country by air from foreign countries will be covered. The state will reimburse 50 percent of these costs in the form of subsidies.
It is clearly stipulated that the amount of subsidy allocated for each kilogram of product must not exceed 0.8 US dollars. Additionally, a new procedure has been established to develop pedigree cattle breeding and increase livestock potential.
From April 1 to December 31, a subsidy in the amount of 10 percent of the value of pedigree cattle imported from abroad by air will be allocated. In this case, the funds paid for each head of cattle must not exceed 4 million soums.
The process of allocating these subsidies has been entrusted to the Agency for Payments in the Agricultural Sector. According to experts, these economic measures will serve to increase the volume of supply in the domestic market and prevent artificial increases in meat prices.
Such support provided by the state opens new doors of opportunity for entrepreneurs and plays an important role in meeting the population's need for high-quality and affordable food products. The transparent operation of this system and its implementation in accordance with the established procedure are considered the main guarantee of ensuring market stability.
