Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit the city of Boku on a working visit.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay an official visit to the city of Baku on May 17–18 of this year at the invitation of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The press service of the head of our state provided official information on this matter. The visit is being organized to further strengthen friendly relations between the two countries and expand multifaceted cooperation.

According to the visit program, the head of Uzbekistan will participate in the Summit of Heads of State and Government as part of the Thirteenth Session of the World Urbanization Forum held under the auspices of the United Nations. It is planned that Shavkat Mirziyoyev will deliver a speech at this influential international forum.

The forum will thoroughly discuss pressing issues such as the sustainable development of modern cities, improving access to affordable and quality housing for residents, fundamentally upgrading urban infrastructure, and preserving ecological balance. Additionally, attention will be focused on implementing new and effective mechanisms for financing housing construction.

During the visit to Baku, the leader of our country will hold bilateral meetings with heads of other states and representatives of influential international organizations. These discussions will explore prospects for advancing mutually beneficial cooperation to a new level, as well as developing trade, economic, and investment ties.

This trip once again confirms the growing influence of Uzbekistan on the world stage and the active participation of our country in addressing global challenges. It is expected that important agreements will be reached as a result of the visit.
