Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic in Bucha

On the sidelines of the Urbanization Forum being held in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
The meeting marked an important step toward elevating mutually beneficial relations between the two countries to a new level. During the talks, the sides thoroughly discussed priority areas for further developing multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and Serbia.
Special attention was given to implementing previously reached high-level agreements and achieving practical results. The heads of state noted the significant potential for strengthening political dialogue and expanding economic ties between the two nations.
One of the key topics of the meeting was substantially increasing the volume of mutual trade. To this end, the implementation of joint projects in sectors such as machinery manufacturing, food processing, chemicals, and electrical engineering was reviewed.
Additionally, it was agreed to develop cooperation programs in pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and tourism, and to encourage interaction between entrepreneurs. Alongside economic initiatives, the agenda also included expanding humanitarian cooperation.
In particular, the importance of organizing the first forum of university rectors from both countries, as well as holding mutual cultural and film days, was emphasized. Such events serve to further strengthen the bonds of friendship between our peoples.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the leaders exchanged views on pressing international issues and reviewed the schedule of upcoming high-level events planned for the future.
