A 4-magnitude earthquake occurred in Jondor district of Bukhara region
Today, on May 22, another ground tremor was recorded in the Bukhara region. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

According to data from the Seismological Monitoring Center under the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the magnitude of this natural phenomenon observed during the day was 4 points. Specialists reported that the earthquake occurred at 10:44 local time.

The epicenter of the quake was located in Jondor district, approximately 526 kilometers southwest of the capital city of Tashkent. The focus of the underground tremors was determined to be at a depth of 10 kilometers.

This event was felt with varying intensity in several districts and populated areas of the region. In particular, in the city of Gazli, ground shaking was recorded at around 2–3 points, while residents of the Peshtak, Qorako‘l, and Jondor districts felt tremors of 2 points.

So far, no official information has been received regarding any casualties or damage to buildings as a result of this incident. Experts emphasized that such tremors are linked to natural processes in the Earth's crust and urged the public to remain calm.

It is worth noting that seismic activity in the Bukhara region has slightly increased in recent times. Accordingly, the relevant services are conducting continuous monitoring in the area.

The public has been reassured that there is no cause for panic, and all information is under the supervision of specialists. Due to the relatively low strength of the quake, it was mainly felt on the upper floors of multi-story buildings and in open areas.
