Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation from the United Arab Emirates

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation led by Mohamed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, Zamin.uz reported.
The meeting marked an important step toward elevating multifaceted cooperation between the two countries to a new level and strengthening strategic partnership. During the talks, issues related to improving the system of state governance, implementing digital technologies, and analyzing joint projects in the social sector were discussed.
At the beginning of the meeting, the guests conveyed the high esteem and warm greetings of the leadership of the United Arab Emirates to the President of Uzbekistan, once again confirming that relations between the two countries are based on mutual trust and friendship.
In recent years, contacts between the sides have intensified significantly, yielding positive results not only in the economy but also in the fields of innovation and education. Special attention was given to measures being implemented to improve the efficiency of state governance.
Cooperation in reducing bureaucracy and digitizing public services is already bearing fruit. Moreover, projects in modern technologies, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence, were in the focus of attention.
The large-scale education program aimed at training five million developers was highly praised, with over one million participants already enrolled. This indicator reflects the strong aspiration of Uzbek youth to master modern knowledge.
During the discussions, issues concerning the improvement of the system for evaluating the activities of state bodies and broader involvement of local government representatives in this process were considered. It was emphasized that ensuring transparency and promptness in regional governance is essential to increase the effectiveness of reforms.
At the same time, new initiatives were launched to develop the nationwide book-reading movement with the aim of promoting enlightenment in society. Such projects contribute to enhancing the intellectual potential of our people and further strengthening cultural ties between the peoples of the two countries.
