Salaries and bonuses for tax officials will be increased

In Uzbekistan, a new stage is beginning in the system of material incentives for tax authority employees. This was reported by Zamin.uz.
Starting January 1, 2026, additional allowances and payments related to years of service for employees in the sector will be significantly increased. These changes are important because they aim to retain qualified personnel in the tax system, encourage employees to improve their knowledge and experience, and properly value long-term work.
One of the most important innovations is that employees who hold an international certificate or a specified qualification level will receive a monthly allowance equal to 100% of their salary. In other words, tax employees who have independently developed their professional training and officially confirmed their qualifications will be eligible to receive additional incentives equal to their salary.
This decision will help expand the ranks of specialists in the tax service who are knowledgeable, use modern approaches, and deeply understand international standards. Today, tax administration is not limited to accounting or audit procedures alone.
In a modern system, digitalization, in-depth analysis, assessment of probabilistic risks, establishing proper communication with business entities, and legal literacy are gaining paramount importance. Therefore, it is a demand of the time for specialists to continuously improve their qualifications.
Another significant change relates to length of service. For employees who have worked effectively in the tax authorities for many years, payments for years of service will be increased up to 150%.
This appropriately values the work of experienced staff, helps retain them in the system, and is an important step toward strengthening mentorship traditions for younger specialists. Such incentive measures foster a healthy competitive environment among employees.
Whoever works more on themselves, improves their qualifications, and obtains international certificates will have their labor materially highly valued. Furthermore, starting January 1, 2027, it is planned to establish the "For Dedicated Service in the Tax Service" badge.
This award will be granted to employees who have made a worthy contribution to the development of the tax system, achieved high performance indicators in their work, and approached their service duties with loyalty. Such symbolic recognition is important not only for its material benefit but also as a sign of professional prestige and public respect.
In summary, the newly introduced benefits and incentive measures will contribute to raising the level of professionalism in the tax system. Now, the main focus is on supporting qualified, honest, and efficient personnel.
This, in turn, will ensure the more transparent and efficient operation of the country’s economy and tax system.
