President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev sent a letter of condolence to the President of the PRC Xi Jinping in connection with the tragic incident that occurred at a coal mine in the Shanxi province of the People's Republic of China. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The head of state expressed his sincere condolences over the loss of many lives and the injuries sustained as a result of this terrible explosion. In his address, the President wished patience to the family members and relatives of the deceased and expressed hope for the speedy recovery of the injured.

This information was announced to the general public by the press secretary of the head of state. According to the latest information received, the unfortunate incident occurred at the Lyushenyuy coal mine located in the northern region of China.

It is confirmed that at least ninety people died as a result of a powerful explosion of gas accumulated underground. It was determined that a total of two hundred and forty-seven workers were inside the mine at the time of the tragedy.

Currently, rescue operations are continuing at the scene, and search teams are utilizing all available resources. Chinese leader Xi Jinping gave emergency instructions regarding the situation and ordered the acceleration of rescue operations.

Additionally, government representatives were tasked with thoroughly studying the causes of the incident, investigating cases of non-compliance with technical safety rules, and bringing the guilty parties to legal responsibility. This tragedy has caused deep grief to the entire region, and condolences are being expressed by the international community.

The Uzbek side emphasized that it stands with the Chinese people in these difficult moments and shares their grief.
