Turkey sent military advisors to reform the Uzbek army.
Uzbekistan and Turkey have long-standing friendship and brotherly relations, which today are being elevated to an absolutely new level of strategic partnership. This was reported by Zamin.uz.

The two countries are paying special attention to not only strengthening mutual efforts in economic and cultural areas, but also in the fields of defense and security. Important steps are being taken within this cooperation.

According to Turkish National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, Ankara has sent a group of specialized military advisors to Tashkent with the aim of assisting Uzbekistan in systematically reforming and modernizing its Armed Forces. This was reported by influential Turkish publications.

This initiative serves as a practical expression of the trusting relations between the two countries. As emphasized by Yaşar Güler, a number of friendly and brotherly countries around the world today show great interest in the high experience and effective structure of the Turkish Armed Forces.

According to the minister, Uzbekistan is one such close and brotherly country. Just as it did in Azerbaijan, Turkey has dispatched an experienced group consisting of its military advisors to Uzbekistan.

We note that in January of this year, an important cooperation plan was signed between the defense ministries of Uzbekistan and Turkey. This document envisages the implementation of strategic tasks such as organizing joint military exercises, training professional personnel, and developing military medicine.

These agreements are aimed at increasing the combat capability of our army. As specialists note, this model applied by Turkey to Uzbekistan’s defense system previously yielded high results in Azerbaijan.

Following the historic Shusha Declaration signed in 2021, military cooperation between Baku and Ankara has reached a new level. Within the framework of this successful project, the Azerbaijani army was fully re-equipped according to Turkish standards, and the number of joint exercises increased significantly.

Most importantly, an effective system has been established in the defense industry for the use of innovative technologies, particularly, the operation of world-renowned unmanned aerial vehicles. Today, this modern and combat-tested military experience serves to further strengthen the capabilities of the Uzbekistan Armed Forces.

This undoubtedly will serve as an important foundation not only for our country, but also for ensuring stability and security throughout the Central Asian region.
